A couple years back I became obsessed with Fantasy Surfing... Well surfing in general, but as a pandemic adult learner, who lives an hour from the beach, I don't come close to getting as much of that salty fix as I desire.
After dominating my private league 2 years running, I decided that I needed more Fantasy Surf community. This coincided with the time I became fed up with the lack of helpful statistics from our beloved World Surf League. I mean seriously, it's a statistic based competition. I don't have to look to know that the worst fantasy football platform offers exponentially more stats than the global surf leaders. So I resolved to compile my own statistics and add my picks to YouTube in order meet more of my fellow competitors... And it worked!
Having tried to start YouTube channels before with very limited success, I went in with very low expectations. However, very quickly I realized that I was giving out unique information that people were actually searching for. Subscriber gains are modest, but every video has added subscribers, and I will continue to add better content. As of writing this, there are 300 of you who have subscribed, and I plan on hitting 1,000 by the end of the year.
So I'm going for it, and we'll see how far this thing goes. But please watch a video, and tell me why I'm wrong!
